Lots of projects needing your help

We have lots of new and exciting projects within Heywood in Bloom this year.
1. We have decided to give Captain Bills boat in the town centre a revamp. Work started last night and she has gone from green to bright red. Further work will be done on Saturday so if you see us please stop for a chat or toot your horn as you are passing.

2. We are working with Trinity Church to build on the work they have already started to develop a community garden. We will be there next Wednesday with our friends from Wincanton volunteers to dig out some flower borders for them.
3. We have linked up with EdforAll and their young people will be joining us for a variety of tasks both on the allotment and out in the Community. They will be starting with us next week and we will share more about that initiative soon.
4. We are just about to sign an agreement with RBC that will enable us to look after the entire area at the picture frame at the end of Pilsworth Road. This will be a medium to longer term project and we have plans to secure some funding to enable to turn this area into a well maintained pocket park with native and planting. As part of this we will be repairing or replacing the picture frame which is showing definite signs of age and damage.
