Preparing for Summer

We are starting to get our town centre planting ready for summer.

During their session last Wednesday the Ed for All students went into the local community, where they worked together to collect planters from Heywood Library and St Luke’s Church, bringing them back to the allotment ready to be repotted and transformed into beautiful new flower displays to brighten up the town.

Projects like this are such a powerful example of Preparation for Adulthood in action, developing teamwork, problem solving, practical skills, community engagement and confidence through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

We have purchased the first lot of plants for the town centre and a big thank you to Michelle's Garden Centre for the all of your support.

We will be busy this week planting the liners and if you would like to come along and get involved the days and times are on the last picture, please either comment on the post or send a DM to let us know you are coming.
