After another busy week, we're pleased to report that the planted-up liners are now out in the saddle-back planters and preparations for both Heywood 1940s Day and the North West In Bloom judging are progressing really well.
A huge thank you to everyone who has been helping across the town.
Volunteers have been working hard at the allotment, in the town centre, at parks, community gardens, churches and residential settings, helping to ensure Heywood is looking its very best.

We're incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers, community groups, businesses, the Township, and partners, including Michelle's Garden Centre, Wincanton, PossAbilities, Linkability, Ed for All, Back o' the Moss, Queens Park volunteers, Hopwood Park volunteers, Trinity Church, Corcoran Close, Heady Hill Community Centre, McCullock and Gleave, Heywood Distribution Park and Rochdale Council.
The effort being put in across the whole community has been fantastic and we're now entering the final stages of preparation before, 1940’s Day on 20th June, and the North West In Bloom Judging on 25th June. I can also confirm that, following feedback from In Your Neighbourhood entrants, the second North West In Bloom judging visit has been moved from 27 June to 24 July.
There's still plenty to do over the coming weeks, but thanks to everyone's support we're in a strong position and looking forward to showcasing the very best of Heywood.
Thank you all for everything you're doing to make our town bloom!
