An evening with the Cloud Gardener

We all really enjoyed our evening with Jason Williams, The Cloud Gardener. The event was sponsored through The Great Heywood Gathering, organised by The Culture Co-op.

Despite it being extremely hot and a partial eclipse over 40 people attended at Corcoran Close community room and we thank our friends there for allowing us to use that room.

A big thank you as well to Sandra Trickett and The Tree House Cafe in Hopwood Park for providing us with some very tasty food, several people have commented how nice it was, particularly the sausage rolls.

Another big thank you to everyone who attended for their generosity in buying raffle tickets and completing the football card allowing us to raise just over £100. This money will go towards the cost of winter planting for the saddle back planters in town once the current summer bedding displays have ended.

This was a first for us at Heywood in Bloom to put on an event but the memory of everyone’s obvious enjoyment will encourage us to make these sorts of evenings a more regular part of our calendar.
